When I was tired , you looked at me and sang “tee-work”, as in our little song: “What’s gonna work? Teamwork!” So we sang together and you helped me change your diaper (you carried the diaper and wipes) and you put your dinner dishes and bib on your place at the table. When did you get so big?

Little Riv, as I rocked you to sleep for your nap today, your skin was pink and flushed, and you smelled like sunshine, clean skin and fresh-cut grass from our trip to the park. A perfect first day of summer.
